SAN FRANCISCO -- The Giants have just lost two Golden Gloves but gained an absolute tank. The Giants have just finalized a trade for Patrick Bailey to the Guardians in exchange for Matt "Tugboat" Wilkinson. Will Tugboat bring the Giants ship into a good 2027 season?
Recently the Giants have been struggling to draw from the Fountain of Youth. Our personal favorite, Hayden Birdsong, is out with Tommy John surgery for the season which is absolutely heartbreaking given the good start he had.
Tugboat is a think boi at 270 lbs. He has 50 lbs on Birdsong. He has a sexual ERA and hits fast. Bailey wasn't an amazing hitter, so this could set the Giants up well.
The one gap in the trade? Bailey looks stoned in every picture.
