SACRAMENTO -- The legendary player and most recently Coach of the Milwaukee Bucks announces his retirement from coaching, and hes plans to return to the NBA as a free agent. He is hopeful for a draft position next season.

Will he plan to return to the Hawks or the Knicks? We're unclear, but we understand the desire to escape the daily grind of management and return back, get your hands dirty, and remember why you love the grind and the reasons that you started doing it in the first place.

It is projected that the 2027 draft class would have been the weakest in years. That is, until Rivers announced his entry. We're expecting other recently retired coaches to comeout of the woodwork. We're looking at you, Popovich.
