LeBron James, former Lakers player who had recently announced his free agency, has decided to sign with the Sacramento Kings. This is to temporarily replace DeMar DeRozan.
SACRAMENTO -- The King ascends his throne. While rumors swirl that LeBron James was headed to the other prominent Bay Area basketball them, the Golden State Warriors, 5thQuarterSports has it on good authority that LeBron rescinded the option. He has instead opted to join the Kings. This is expecially timely, with DeMar DeRozan's departure from the Kings being eminent.
The recent trade moves from the Kings make total sense now. Giving up De'Aaron Fox, Devin Carter, Keon Ellis, and Dennis Schroder was all apart of the master plan. The Kings saw through the vision that LeBron went to the Lakers to secure Bronny a spot (Lebron's favorite), and that his tenure would be short lived. I mean the Sacramento King's rank as the worst 2025-26 team was just a long-term ploy to setup the cap space and lineup to bring in LeBron.
That is the only logical explanation that we can come up with atleast.
