Aaron Rodgers has announced that his short-lived retirement is over, and that he is returning to the Steelers as their quarterback for another season.
SACRAMENTO -- Adam Thielen, C.J. Ham, Phillip Rivers. Great men who simply couldn't give up the game and had to come back to the gridiron to taste greatness once again. Joining these ranks in the formerly retired quarterback, the former Jet and Butte College alumn Aaron Rodgers.
This actually isn't the first time that Rodgers has come out of retirement, 5thQuarterSports has previously reported on his appointment to Secretary of HHS. However, Roger Goodell needed to feed the Blood God (DraftKings) once again so Aaron Rodgers got the call to return to Pittsburgh.
Now comes the narrative shift, revisionist history, and general tomfoolery on the true sequence of events. Many would say that Rodgers didn't even retire to begin with, and others would say he had no plans generally, and even more were questioning if the Steelers would even take Rodgers back.
We however know that Rodgers's is selfishly giving up the pursuit of medicine and public health safety for this goal team. The man is a true leader and that is to be respected.
