SAN FRANCISCO – We’ve been told through the grapevine that it is true so we dug in with a deeper investigation to confirm or deny the rumors. Is the Lombardi trophy is a “self portrait”? Can riding a horse break your Heisman? Was Lombardi's trophy really all silvery and angular?
First, we went to the archives. We dug around the Packer's archives of tapes, videos, photographs, We even spent hours in the old player's jock strap collection, in hopes that Vince had left us a little treat. Alas, we could find very little. The rumor will live on, for now.
