Taysom Hill Changes Postion To Missionary
Coach Sean Payton announced in Wednesday's Press conference that, with the return of Drew Brees, Taysom Hill will have a new role with the team moving forward. He announced Hill, who had quarterbacked the team during Brees’s absence, would be changing his position to missionary. When asked what that change meant for the team, Payton stated that the position change was made to manage Hill’s durability and to help him remain in the game for longer. He then declined to elaborate any further due to wanting to maintain competitive advantage.
One can only speculate what kind of role this mysterious “missionary” position is. Taysom Hill, who is of the Mormon faith, did serve as a missionary for the church before attending BYU.
ESPN Fantasy has issued a statement that Hill will still be eligible to play at TE or in the flex position for this week and will consider adding eligibility at the Missionary position if this role is permanent moving forward. What this unexpected position change means for his Saints career will be determined on Sunday.
