Draymond Green DESTROYS Ref With FACTS And LOGIC
SAN FRANCISCO, California – After 14 seasons of arguing with NBA referees, Warriors star Draymond Green finally got through to an official over a foul call he didn’t agree with, and he did it by absolutely crushing the ref with facts and logic.
The argument took place early in the second quarter of Wednesday’s game against the Celtics when Draymond was called for a pushing foul away from the ball. The whistle was blown by Scott Foster, an NBA ref of 31 seasons.
As soon as the game stopped, Draymond began clapping his hands and stomping toward Foster.
“Baby girl!” Draymond shouted over an extra dancy remix of “Lights” by Ellie Goulding. “You gotta understand what a foul is! Do you know what a foul is? Have you heard of a foul?”
Teammate De’Anthony Melton, averaging a career best 13.1 points in his first season with the Warriors, moved quickly to get between Draymond and Foster.
“Here’s a fact for you, Scott- This is my arm. My arm. Do you see what I’m pointing at? Good. Okay- This is his arm. My arm touched his arm here. My arm touched his arm here, and that’s not a foul. My arm touched him here. My arm touched his arm here. Not a foul. His arm here. And how do you know what you saw? Can you trust your memories? You know about how you can’t trust your memories, right Scott?”
At this point Brandin Podziemski and Will Richard, averaging 12.9 and 6.7 points respectively, were also trying to deescalate Draymond and avoid him getting yet another technical foul.
“How do you know what you saw, Scott? What did it look like? Did you see my arm touch his arm here? Cause my arm touched his arm here. My arm touched his arm here. Memories get warped, Mr. Foster. My arm touched him here. My arm touched his arm here. My arm touched his arm here. Memories get warped, Mr. Foster. So you have to believe, believe in the memories that were actually playing basketball- that’s right, playing, not policing, and leeching off, groveling in submission to the only way you could stay on the court and hold onto basketball- cause you was never good enough, you was never gonna make it to the NBA, and you knew it, so you sold out to be a parasite, a henchman- all because you couldn’t have something you wanted. And you make money off it, don’t you Scott? You make money off it, and now, forevermore, the love in your life will be lesser, because you have poisoned your love for the game of basketball- you’ve perverted it, made a fool of it, violated it- you've violated it!”
After this comment, just as “Lights” by Ellie Goulding was dropping into the third chorus, Draymond finally turned away and cooled down. Foster did not reverse the call, but he also did not issue a technical foul.
The game continued as Jaylen Brown came to the sideline to inbound the ball. Foster then collapsed on the court, only to get up moments later and walk out of the arena and into the parking lot, and he was never seen again.
