Kings vs Grizzlies Pregame Stats

SACRAMENTO -- I think being honest in this situation might be the the best way forward. These are two teams which aren't doing amazing. The Grizzlies are 8-12 and the poor King doggies are 5-15. But, lets take a look at their past performance to get a better picture on how this could play out. (Maybe not well for the Kings). All of these charts are for the Kings vs Grizzlies against the last game they've played.

We can rule out Clifford going ham, as this was a small sample size. But, while it is expected that DeRozan and LaVine will be putting in work as usual, maybe we'll see Raynaud put in some good work again. The sample size is slightly higher than Clifford so saying that it is statistically significant is maybe pushing it but we can have hope.

The Effects of Being Foul

Next, lets see what happens if the Kings play too aggressively against specific players.

If the Kings can stay away from Landale, Prosper, and Wells they should be fine. These players made the most, so are the most likely to benefit from retaliation.

So if they keep Aldama, Landale, and Spenser covered they should have a good chance of coming out ahead.

What is interesting is that they don't seem to have a heavy amount of steals from their top players. This begs the question if a more aggressive offense, and going all in against the Grizzlies would benefit the Kings in this game. Only time will tell.
