Brandon Aiyuk Retires From NFL, Joins Haas Factory NASCAR Team
SAN FRANCISCO -- 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk hasn't been seen by his team in months, and his absense has team members and the media concerned. Just the other day he posted a video of himself driving quite fast through a 40mph size hear Levi's stadium (stadium unrelated to the current mayor of San Francisco, Daniel Lurie). 5thQuarterSports has actually received word on the current wherabouts and ongoings with Brandon Aiyuk.
He is joining NASCAR. That speeding video? That is training camp. This explains his extended absense. He has been under an intense driving regimine. Now, we're not saying he'll be the next Cal Naughton Jr. but we do have faith that the Haas team will train him well for the next race, the Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium. Given the newness of the recently formed Haas Factory Team we're sure there will be some bumps as the kinks of the team are worked out. The start will be rocky though.
Aiyuk is to announce his retirement from the NFL later this week and announce his new position in Haas at the same press conference.
Gene Haas could not be reached for comment.
