Patrick Mahomes Announces Retirement...from 2018-2025 Superbowl Streak
KANSAS CITY -- It is official. Patrick Mahomes is retiring. From his Superbowl streak that went from 2018-2025. He make this announcement tearfully after his game, but the tears were mostly from the ACL tear and not from emotional overwhelm.
Andy Reid had the following to say:
| It is a damn shame what happened on that field. But, with enough care and with his recent successful surgery he'll back back for next season. He is going to lead this team to another Superbowl, no doubt in my mind.
It is amazing news that Mahomes' ACL surgery was successful. Given the recent ACL tear epidemic in the NFL, we hope it doesn't happen to his other knee.
We're sure we'll see an Eagles v Chiefs Superbowl in the near future.
