SACRAMENTO -- Zach Arnett was chosen too early, Coleman Hutzler was chosen too late. He was previously Head Coach of Mississippi, but was fired after the Bulldogs went 4-6 the season he took over. That doesn't overshadow the fact that he is a proven SEC defensive powerhouse and Mississippi knows that.
This is a bit like moving back in with your parents. But with an interesting twist, some how for a brief moment you out rank your father. Maybe he temporarily lost his job, picked up a drinking problem or DraftKings too much, and you have your first non internship job out of college. For a few months, you're brining home the bacon and providing for your mother and two siblings. Then, your old man sobers up. Uninstalls the apps. Picks himself back up. Then slugs you one right in your mouth, reminding you who's boss of the house. You're then kicked out into the streets to fend for yourself.
Then, your old man feels a bit sorry for you. He invites you back. Your job isn't quite enough to afford that loft you thought was a great idea two months ago. So you break your lease, move back in to save a few bucks, and all is right in the world.
That is a bit like what happened when Arnett went to Ole Miss and Florida State. By the way, all the rats are jumping ship from Ole Miss given Lane Kiffin just departed due to extreme controversy.
Whatever the issues were are resolved, and Zach Arnett is returning home. We at 5th Quarter Sports are proud of him.
